About This Wine
Wine investors love Roberto Voerzio. He practices sustainable farming practices religiously and discards any grapes unfit for the Voerzio label. Not only that, but he firmly believes in an inverse relationship between yields and quality. The lower the yields, the better. The fact that he only released 400 cases of 2013 Roberto Voerzio Barolo Cerequio, the second smallest production of any wine in our Piedmont collection, speaks volumes.
Those fortunate to try 2013 Barolo Cerequio have noted its stratospheric potential. It’s silky smooth with exceptional balance and a fruity core of red cherries, blood oranges, and cherry liqueur. Even though this Barolo remains tight in youth, a few years in the cellar should enhance the spiced-kissed aromatics and already full body.
The Final Sip: Extremely low yields. Extremely selective harvesting. Extremely high quality. That is 2013 Roberto Voerzio Barolo Cerequio in a nutshell.
