About This Wine
The Tesseron family and Château Pontet-Canet rank among the most enduring figures of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Now, they’re expanding. The Tesseron family has long wanted “to create a great Napa wine, which fully expresses the Pontet-Canet philosophy, from a unique terroir and a stunning landscape.” So, in 2016, they took their talents to Napa Valley and purchased Robin William’s estate (yes, that Robin Williams). The result: Pym-Rae.
Pym-Rae belongs among the finest French-Napa collaboration along with Opus One and The French Laundry. The cabernet sauvignon-dominant blend captures the essence of its terroir while staying true to the Pontet-Canet style. Adored by critics and collectors alike, Pym-Rae has no shortage of admirers worldwide. However, with its 2,000-case annual production, demand perpetually outpaces supply.
