Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru makes its presence known. The chardonnay has impressive weight and balance, unfurling waves of citrus, fresh-cut flowers, ripe pears, and honey. Wine critic William Kelley called the 2015 vintage "On the palate the wine is very concentrated, deep and pure, with notable extract and texture, and a long, penetrating, powerful finish. Superb.” This built-to-age chardonnay also increased 12.4 in 2021.
