About This Wine
Domaine Bruno Clair was born out of Domaine Clair-Daü, a legendary Burgundy estate from the 1950s to early 1970s. Following some toxic family drama, Bruno Clair set out on his own to produce the purest examples of Burgundy wine. His combination of ultra-intensive vineyard work and minimalist invention winemaking made 2018 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares Grand Cru one of the true greats of the region.
The medium to full-bodied pinot noir leads with delicate floral and fruit notes with a hint of oyster shells. Red berries, cocoa, and earthiness tones leap across the palate, leading into a mineral-driven finish. With a sturdier structure than its counterparts from Le Musigny, investors can safely age the 2018 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares Grand Cru for many years.
Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru represents the best of its region. It hails from one of the most revered vineyards in Côte de Nuits, which exclusively grows pinot noir. The result is a robust and forward red wine with more than enough structure to handle three decades of aging.
