About This Wine
"Prepare for a glorious deep dive into terroir. The Bollinger PN VZ16 is the second interpretation of a new series that highlights Bollinger pinot noir. Each year, the cuvée changes in order to express the uniqueness of the vintage and terroir. With the 2016 iteration, that meant putting the village of Verzenay front and center.
Grapes from Verzenay accounted for 50 of the cuvée. The grand cru vineyard contributed boldness, density, and structure to the body. Meanwhile, the premier crus of Avenay and Tauxières accounted for the remaining 50, adding balance and depth.
Anyone who is fond of Blanc de Noirs will want Bollinger PN VZ16 for their portfolio. Wine critic Jancis Robinson praised it as “a worthy successor to the 2015.” Additionally, Antonio Galloni heralded it as “incredibly appealing” and “wonderfully inviting.”"
